Create an Online “Interest” Group and Watch the Leads Pour In

There are many ways to generate leads within your company. The most common, of course, is through advertising on social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter. When you have an active following these platforms can help boost the organic traffic that comes into your website for free. However, when you want a more targeted audience it’s time to create an online interest group—or start one if there isn’t one already!

Facebook lead ads are a great way to find new people who might be interested in your business or product. You can create an online “interest” group and watch the leads pour in. Read more in detail here: facebook lead ads.

Until recently, if you had any specialist knowledge in a certain field of business, you kept it a well guarded secret and only shared it with paying clients.

That has altered as a result of the Internet. Members may establish interest groups around a specialty or subject on sites like Meetup.com, Flickr.com, Facebook.com, LinkedIn.com, and Slideshare.com, and freely share their knowledge.

This may not make a lot of sense at first. Why would you give away something for which you might be compensated? Well, there’s a new generation of Web-savvy consumers that think this is a great idea, and you should pay attention to them.

Here’s how it works: I’m looking for a widget specialist in my region, and I want to make sure the person I’m working with is up to date on what’s going on in the widget world. I want to make sure my job is done correctly, and I need a method to “test” prospective providers since I don’t know anything about widgets.

Furthermore, I’m not sure I trust widget business salespeople. Maybe I’ve been over-promised and disappointed before.

So, how do I proceed? I Google “Northumberland widgets” and search for any references I can that will provide me with the knowledge I need. When I discover a Facebook group or a Meetup in my region full of widget users, I know I can ask them any questions I have and be certain that I’ll receive the answers I need to make an informed choice.

I come across a set of PowerPoint slides created by a certain widget business on SlideShare that explain how to purchase and maintain widgets, what to look for when evaluating competing bids, and how to reduce my widget running expenses. Now I have specific instances of what they know and how it may benefit me.

When I check up the company’s founders on LinkedIn, I’m impressed by their professional backgrounds, so I join some of the organizations they’re a member of.

So, whether you sell washing machine parts or kite-making materials, you may establish a club that appeals to individuals who like those hobbies. Do you believe it has the potential to lead to some commercial opportunities?
